childhood sexual abuse
Christina Mokwa, Founder
Is Not A Life Sentence
It has to end, you know.
The self hatred. The collective shaming. The disdain of another. The emotional armour. The buried pain. The displaced humans. The misplaced kindness. The repressed trauma. The fake positivity. The meaningless materialism. The forgotten heart.
It has to begin, you know.
The self love. The collective healing. The love for another. The emotional release. The liberated pain. The welcomed humans. The perpetual kindness. The honored story. The authentic feeling. The meaningful purpose. The open heart. It’s time.

OUR FOUNDER
MOKWA IS A RECLAMATION
Mokwa is the creation of Christina Mokwa, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, sadistic abuse, and gun violence.
At the age of three, Mokwa was bound, gagged, sodomized, and raped.
Mokwa is one survivor’s attempt to bring about healing for many – by transforming her own name. Mokwa is the bearing of a heart and soul. Mokwa is a desire to tell the truth, and to restore hope to those from whom so much has been taken.
Our philosophy
An approach grounded
in wholeness
The Mokwa Model was created to bring forth a paradigm shift in the treatment of sexual abuse – from a medicalized model, focused on diagnosis and disease, to an empowerment model that supports survivors holistically.
Mokwa is
A PLACE FOR ALL
Mokwa serves all survivors who would seek our help, regardless of age, race, gender expression, sexual orientation, or ability to pay.
We intimately understand the nuances of different forms of childhood sexual violence and leverage our life experiences, knowledge, and expertise to help survivors navigate their personal healing journeys.
Support Services
We aim to provide compassionate care for wherever you may be on your healing journey – and espouse the belief that you are your own ultimate healer – we simply steward your being to a place of newfound awareness.
No matter where you are on your journey, there is a place for you here

Mokwa: The Podcast
Mokwa: The Podcast is an independent audio series created, produced, and hosted by Christina Mokwa, centered on creating a space for survivors of child sexual abuse to share their stories.
Founded on the basis of empathy-driven storytelling as a vehicle for collective healing, Mokwa: The Podcast debuts season one fearlessly telling my own story, following my intuition to uncover the intergenerational trauma, deception, and legacy of childhood sexual abuse within my own family.
for the inner child in all of us
Love always, Christina
Mokwa: The Podcast is dedicated to every survivor of childhood sexual violence worldwide. You are seen. You are loved. You are enough. You are whole. You are your home. We can survive this. And I love you – even if I won’t ever meet you.
